hello @keton is there an easy way to add this integration to HassOS 3.12

keton commented 4 years ago

for now no. It's still WIP, literally 2 days of coding in. I'll look into how to add stuff to HassOS once it works well with Home Assistant.

djmalin commented 4 years ago

great, I would be very grateful if you could do it, I have such heads but only through the application on the phone can I control them

keton commented 4 years ago

Hey @djmalin etrv2mqtt is now ready for testing. So far as a console/daemon app but maybe that's useful to you. It works nicely with my 3 thermostats and Home Assistant.

Hey

i'm working on making a hassio addon out of this.

i have it working on my nuc right now and was wondering if you would be ok with me creating a repo for that named something like "etrv2mqtt addon" or if you would rather create that repo yourself and accept my stuff as pull requests?

It works just fine, I was just giving @keton some time to object if he would rather make the repo him self. I will se if I can find time to post it tomorrow or Wednesday.

HBDK commented 3 years ago

@wololo7 you can add this repository to home assistant.

Hi @HBDK I am very interested in your project. I had a look at your Eco2-Tools,

I am not sure whether you expect to end up with a custom component that can be added to home assistant and run by simply adding some configuration and no other prerequisites, which would be perfect.

If not, could you please tell your expectations and steps you expect will be needed in order to get the devices integrated in Home Assistant. Will I still need to install the Libetrv first.

Thanks, Ghassan

HBDK commented 3 years ago

@G-Christ it's an addon you add it like any other 3rd party addon in hassos. It only aims to make it easier to use this project.

Sounds good.

I already have the MAC and key. I copied the etrv2mqtt folder into config\custom_components folder in hassio,
I modified the config.json file Added mqtt configuration section to configuration.yaml Restarted hassio

But: no new entities are discovered. No related messages I the mqtt log no errors in the server log

something is missing

Please advise?

HBDK commented 3 years ago

It's not a component it's an addon.

G-Christ commented 3 years ago

It's not a component it's an addon.

Hi @HBDK

Waw, even much better. I installed the add-on and it worked right away.

Good job and thanks for you making it much easier. I'll let others know on the Hassio community.

Thanks, Ghassan
