I was able to build a version of marlin 2.1.x on to the printer but I had to have flashprint installed because it needed the drivers to see the printer correctly.

Would be nice if you could share that piece of firmware as a bin file for other people...

It should be fully legal to share a open source firmware as a flash as you like update/sidegrade for the forgotten and unsopported flash forge

I am struggling to get the parts fan to work on my build once I have that done I will definitely be sharing my conf and hex files

It is nice to see that people are still modifying FFCP. I've just gave up at some point long ago, bought a SKR board and used the existing hardware. Making new connectors, adjusting the settings and everything else was a chore. Looking at it now, I could have just bought a new Prusa, Creality or Bambu Labs printer and be done with it. But I will admit it was fun in its own way. And still to this day FFCP is not working as I would like. It's missing new and cool features like auto bed leveling, input sharper, filament detection and much more. Looking at it now, work volume vs printer volume is not that great. Extruders are OK, but you cant print high temp stuff because of PTFE inserts. ...
