Feature Request: Corkboard Functionality in Canvas #148

Describe the solution you'd like Obsidian's newer Canvas function can be used to replicate something a lot like Scrivener's corkboard feature. I'm envisioning an option in a draft's Scenes list to "generate corkboard" or similar; this would create a new canvas file, with cards either linking to or direct embedding of the individual notes arranged in that canvas. The user can then of course rearrange freely to get a visual overview of different ways to arrange and structure them.

Having that affect the ordering in the scenes list by that rearranging would be a nice extension of the functionality down the road, but I'm primarily picturing quickly generating the canvas itself from the existing scenes ordering.

Describe alternatives you've considered This can all be done manually already within a canvas by embedding or linking to each scene note, but is time-consuming with many scenes; automating it would be nice.

Sometimes the best way to discover overlooked functionality is to speak up and today is one of those times! I just realized this morning dragging a folder into a canvas auto-populates the canvas with each note in that folder. So manually doing exactly what the feature request says is far easier than I thought initially.

Potentially a duplicate of #26

Sure, at this point we'd likely use canvas over some other corkboard-like thing. I'll close 26 in favor of tracking here.

My thoughts on how this might work:
