Lack of mouse support on VirtualBox #223

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Android-x86 2.2
2. Boot Android
3. Try to unlock screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Android home screen. Instead, I'm trying to unlock the home screen but with no
avail since there's a lack of mouse support and no keyboard button will unlock
the screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 2.2 in VirtualBox 4.0 on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

You can use the context key. the key in between the right alt and right ctrl.

With VirtualBox 4.04 on Win 7 x64 and Android-x86 2.2.1 (not sure if this is
the same version as what you have-- I downloaded the latest as of 2011/05/03)
the problem can be resolved by disabling 'Absolute pointing device' in the
System/Motherboard settings of the VM.

Is there a way to emulate the context key in the event that we are using a
101-key Model T keyboard from the 80s?

Here's a solution:

Disable mouse integration and it will work.
