I'd like to "+1" that because being able to connect through a proxy is an
essential requirement for all people who are stuck behind a firewall, be it at
work, school, etc ...
Personally, I'd like to use android-x86 as a replacement for the more-than-lame
Android emulator that comes with the SDK. Unfortunatly, without proxy support,
I won't be able to test my application.
As far as I can see, proxy support existed in the 1.6 branch, so ... may I
kindly ask to put it back in?
In any case, thx for your good work!

I'm sorry to say that, but I gave it up some time ago. More than two years
after the initial request to re-enable somthing that was already working, and
nothing has happened. I recently switched over to http://www.genymotion.com/ ,
which is blazing fast and (so far) supports all features that I need.

Found a workaround
1-VM NAT but wire not connected
2-Android - run - skip networks - should go to app screen
3-download ethernet droid to usb - assign usb to vm - open usb with android -
install apk
4-connect wire
5-switch on ethernet droid - set proxy configuration!
Sucess!
