Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect to nikon5300 wlan via nexus 7 - takes multiple tries, then connects.

2. open dslrdashboard app, connect via WU-1a/1b - works, shows menu, I can
access the pictures on the chip...

3. push the LV button in the menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

should show live view, app crashes instead, tried it in different camera modes
(M,A,P),
different movie formats(PAL/NTSC)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
nikon 5300, nexus 7 (2013), Android 4.3,
Dslrdashboard (load from playstore 23.11.2013), openvc (load from playstore
23.11.2013)

Please provide any additional information below.

DslrDashboard_V0.30.30_9.apk and OpenCV_2.4.6_Manager_2.9_armv7a-neon.apk
Installed. Still same problem.
Everything else seems to work.
Another point is that my 5300 swithes of
the WLAN each time I start a movie recording.
I dont know how to change that.

Sorry for late answer, my fault not seeing there are more open issues.

Yes. it works with LV over WLan. But as soon as I push the rec button, the
connection is lost. Nikons fault, the 5300 switches of the WLAN on Video
recording. I try it with USB the next time. Thanks so far.

Do you have any news about the bug? I have to record a music session on
weekend, and I must start the video recording remotely...

I have a Nexus 5 and the Nikon d5300, every Time I push the record button, the
app crashes and Wi-Fi is turning off in Nikon.

Do you have a workaround?

Greetings from Germany!

This is a Nikon camera limitation, while the wireless is enable movie recording
can't be started. If movie recording is started it will disable the wireless.
