TPLink and DSLRDashboard not working with nexus7 #141

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
I have tried everything imaginable to get this to work with my TPLink
nexus 7 and canon7d
at first the app would open but crash with any function.
I tried tweaking settings in the router to no avail. At best I was
able to get the app to work briefly but always ended up crashing.
I have tried to reset the router -no luck it won't reset.
I have tried to re-flash the firmware but the router won't.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Im no longer able to access the router and the DSLR dashboard can't see
a camera

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3040 v2 and i selected the "factory" download as my router is new.
I have an nexus 7 and canon 7d

Please provide any additional information below.
ive tried to reset by holding down the button for 20 seconds, nothing seems to
happen. Is there a way to access the router again??

Hi Dave,

what is the Android version of your Nexus 7?
Which version of the Nexus 7 is yours? v2012? v2013?
Im running Nexus 7 (2013) with 4.4 (KitKat) and face the same issue.
Downgrading the Android to 4.3 (factory settings) fixed the problem.

Kind regards,
Roland

Hi Roland,

Thanks for your response.
I have a new nexus 7 with 4.3
I seem to have resolved the problem by downloading open CV_2.4.6.
This is my first experience with DSLR and was especially frustrating. I
really appreciate your sending this email.
Are you associated with DSLR? If so , it seems to be a really
excellent app. I had been using cam ranger but the limitations of
controlling the camera during time-lapse prompted me to try DSLRdashboard.
Thanks again. I'll let you know if there are any further issues.

Dave

Sorry for late answer, my fault not seeing there are more open issues.

The latest version (V0.30.33) includes OpenCv libraries so no need for OpenCv
Manager anymore.
Thanks for Roland Hinueber for help.
