What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Play store says device is incompatible with app. Downloaded and installed
manually on tablet. App fails to open.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Asus Memo Pad ME172v
Android 4.1.1
Kernal Version 3.0.8
Build date: 09/2013

I have contacted Asus support to check if USB Host support is available - no
sensible answer given. Have also asked if update of kernel version would help -
no answer given.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have downloaded and installed OpenCV Manager version 2.16
Hardware ARM v7 with Neon
Library version 2.4.8.0 rev 1
Target hardware arm7a neon

Has anybody had problems with this tablet? How did the get it working with DSLR
Dashboard?

Several Android devices have no proper USB support. By rooting the device maybe
there is a possibility to install several extra files for proper support. You
need a USB OTG cable as well.

I should try another approach by using TP-LINK TL MR3040 portable WiFi router.
You need to flash other firmware OpenWRT

A new version for OpenWRT (v ....0.12.bin ) as well DslrDashboard V0.30.33.apk

Finally sorted out all the problems. No problems with tablet, the Asus Memo pad
ME172 has USB host support. I was only trying to download the app for use with
the TP Link router.

Manually installed the latest CV manager and DSLR Dashboard from the downloads
section above and all is working well with the app and my new TP Link router.

Still don't know why the download from the Google play store would work with
the tablet. Doesn't matter as it is all working now!

CV manager is not needed any-more for latest DslrDashboard V0.30.33.apk, as
needed files are included now.
