Refactored Bash script to improve performance and readability #35

This PR introduces a shellcheck-compliant refactor of the old tuffixize.sh script. It has additional safeguards, and it obeys logging into stderr.

This PR closes #34.

This PR has been tested on Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop.

Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to do this. However, tuffix-1.0 is no longer being developed, so maintaining this is not a great use of time. Unfortunately I do not have time resources to evaluate changes that do not directly advance the goals of this project. If you'd like to contribute, please discuss your intentions in the developers channel in the slack workspace.
