Can't chat with a user who reset their account #11827

A friend signed up for keybase long ago and had to reset their account to start using it again. I am not able to chat with them because a dialog is instructing me to check their proofs to speak with them in person (I've done both). When I click the "Let them in" button I see an error with the following content:

I have unfollowed and re-followed the user in question (and accepted their new proofs) and I was able to create a new team containing both of us as a workaround. I am also able to send chats from the command line.

Ugh, I don't think this works for upgraded KBFS convs...

As a work around you could try on a different platform such as mobile, it's odd that you can send messages through command prompt but not though the client it's self so maybe if you send a message on mobile it'll work as a work around?

We have a desktop release coming out right now that will fix this.

Experiencing same issue, what version is the fix in?

1.0.48, right now only available on desktop, mobile release coming soon
