Copy/pasting results in squares with question marks. #15270

Consistent behavior on MacOS. Copying text from keybase and pasting elsewhere results in text trailed by several boxes with question marks (like when a new emoji is missing from the host system). Makes copying links and other data a pain.

A similar issue is happening on the latest update, abridged logs:

if you try to triple click and copy text in keybase, it also copies the **** emoji toolbar

It seems to attempt a copy of the ... icon and perhaps the "select emoji" button which results in the extra empty boxes?

This is still a bug in 2021. Can we get an ETA?
