I have two Ubuntu boxes (16.04), one at home and the other at work. I installed keybase on one of them and added the device to keybase. I installed on the other and ran keybase (run_keybase). It showed a screen where I could log in but I could go further. It showed the first computer name (see keybase-screen-1.png) and that was the only link I could click on the page. When I clicked it, it displayed a screen (see keybase-screen-2.png) where I could enter a new device name. I entered a device name for the second computer and clicked "Continue". It then displayed another screen (keybase-screen-3.png). It asked me to go to the first computer (slee-x-1) and then add a new device. Can I add a new computer only on the first computer? I don't know what to do. keybase-screen-1 keybase-screen-2 keybase-screen-3

The first computer becomes your account.

To add a second computer your first computer needs to sign a digital signature.

You do this by logging into your first computer, clicking add computer, and typing in the phrase on your second computer.

Alternatively, you can add your smartphone with computer1 and add computer2 with your smartphone.

Also, alternatively, you can generate a "paper key" on computer1 and use it on computer2 to activate it.

But no matter what, you must use computer 1 to add any new device.
