Error leaving and re-entering the airdrop #21055

Keybase GUI Version: 4.5.0-20190919040131+93e889ab01

I was subscribed to stellar airdrop, yesterday checking if I had arrived, accidentally press the leave button and would not let me in again when I have the requirements, and in the end I did not get the airdrop :(

Today checking if I could enter the airdrop again and it shows the same error.

Same issue here...

I have a similar issue, and this has been reported before. Someone was able to make a screencast out of it: https://i.imgur.com/yFHRX7p.mp4

  1. tapped the purple message on the homepage
  2. got the three green ticks for qualifying, clicked OK
  3. got a You do not qualify, in contradiction with the previous screen.

According to reddit, this is what you get when Keybase considers you're abusing the system by eg. creating duplicate accounts. I can understand their struggle with scammers, though what I don't understand is their detection heuristic. I joined keybase recently but verified two very old accounts with my exact username (so stealing is very unlikely), yet got flagged apparently. I don't think there is an appeal mechanism. A previous issue was closed by @maxtaco, without further explanation sadly.

@Zopieux they'll close this issue and the others you linked and lock the conversations. See #21170 #21162 #21159 #21139 #21131 #21120 #21117 #21112 #21104 and many, many more.

To be honest people are using this issue tracker to complain about the Airdrop, so I can understand the frustration. What I'm less comfortable with is the lack of an appeal process for obvious cases. That screams like a giant scam to onboard people on Keybase then refusing the gift they were promised.

If somebody could propose a way how else can we (as I also can't participate in Airdrop, even though I'm qualified) prove that we are humans, I would be thankful. I'm rpeter on Keybase, have a few devices, have proofs, added 2nd phone number, 2nd e-mail address, I'm active on a daily basis but I still can't join. And nobody can point us to a direction what else can we do.
