Is there a way to not have updates reboot or, better still, disable automatic updates?

zanderz commented 8 years ago

I thought we fixed all the bugs that caused this. Can you do a keybase log send? What version were you upgraded from? Thanks.

MLWALK3R commented 8 years ago

I had the same thing happen to me after installing the update, auto rebooted without prompt

@zanderz We've got a log send already, it's 836a8c437e9a42e8a779581c

zanderz commented 8 years ago

@MLWALK3R It looks like you separately updated Dokany drivers before the rebooting update?

MLWALK3R commented 8 years ago

Installed the software from the keybase site, avoided rebooting, update popped up I installed and it and rebooted me without prompt.

ofek commented 8 years ago

Yes, exact same thing here.

Ah I see, the one linked to on keybase.io lagged behind auto updates for a bit today. The silent update must have triggered the reboot that was already pending from the first install.

You can edit %appdata%\updater.json to turn off silent auto updates, but the updater will still prompt you.
