Unable to view KBFS folders or chat #5750

I installed the latest client, and have my PGP private key imported into GPG correctly. The filesystem icon shows up in explorer, but when I go into it, all I see is a file called 'kbfs.error.txt' with the following contents:

md-server: No secret key available

Then, when I open the client application, It shows me as verified, and I can see my folders/people in the UI, but nothing happens when I try to open them in explorer.

Also, when trying to start a chat with another user, I click 'Start a chat' from the user's page but then it just goes back to the search for users screen.

cc: @patrickxb @maxtaco: the status says "StoredSecret: true" but all the signature operations are returning "no secret key available".

maxtaco commented 7 years ago

@patrickxb can you take this one?

patrickxb commented 7 years ago

Will investigate

patrickxb commented 7 years ago

@uncled1023 as a quick check, could you try keybase login on the command prompt and see if that fixes it?

Still looking at log.

uncled1023 commented 7 years ago

@patrickxb Alright, tried it. It gave back 'ERROR No secret key available'

patrickxb commented 7 years ago

@uncled1023 what happens when you do keybase logout and then login? The GUI should work, or keybase login.

uncled1023 commented 7 years ago

@patrickxb Alright, so I logged out, and no error's were thrown. I then logged in using the GUI, and got the following error:

patrickxb commented 7 years ago

@uncled1023 could you send a log when you get that error?

Also, just to confirm, your gpg is installed here C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuPG\bin\gpg.exe ?

@patrickxb Sorry about the delay, work got hectic, haha.

I have now tried logging out via command and logged in via cmd and a couple errors were thrown but now I can open folders and use the chat.
