Ok, I've reset the folder for you. Please close this out if things seem ok.
We'd value hearing any suggestions you have for improving the UX. Is there something we could have done to minimize the risk of losing your paper key?
We are a small startup and are actively working on other higher-priority things right now. In the fullness of time, I agree it would be nice to have a secure way to reset folders that don't have any data yet. It's not trivial for the server to do it, though, since we don't want the server to be able to mess with folders arbitrarily. So we'd need to build a nice GUI around letting the user securely request the resets, and we just haven't had time to design/build it yet. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks! Seems to work great now 👍

That's difficult. Mainly because I'm human. Being that I don't have a printer and am too lazy to write out the full phrase, perhaps am image of the phrase could be sent to my phone?
I think you're in a tough position. Having to fight upstream against user behavior that is pretty ingrained. For example, not being able to rekey kbfs when I have access to everything but the paper key is very non-intuitive.

Totally makes sense. Perhaps the image thing would go a long way but we'll see.

No worries, it happens :-)
Without getting into my opinions on UX, I am here to kindly request my private folder for

be reset. I did indeed reset my paper key (though I had no files previously, so why do I need to go through these hoops of resetting it?)
