This. it would help alleviate some of the issues of secure E2E encrypted DMs + the whole "provable" identity bit. Pretty sure the dev would welcome that (the many instances mean it's hard to have a provable "this is me, and me only" sort account verification and many are clamouring for a solution there).
Yes, please! đź‘Ť
I second this proposal. Keybase could play a great role in proving identities on the Mastondon network, especially because it is a federated network with no central authority (or more precisely: decentralized authorities).
Would love to see this.
Not just Mastodon but the whole Fediverse actually, yes, including Jabber/XMPP.
Same here, would be awesome
Hi.
Same here, try to add Mastodon please.
+1 Mastodon / gnu-social
Please add Mastodon & GNU Social. They both have easy APIs so it should not be harder than adding Twitter…
There exists a discussion/issue (Keybase Verification Suggestions #518 — albeit there is in another repository) that already have several suggested services to use as verification.
As far as I have read, Mastodon has been suggested, but it hasn't been accepted. I guess it'll be a matter of time until they review it, and then decide to accept it or reject it.
Hope it helps!
IMHO the Keybase people should make clear (in an issue template?) where such suggestions should go…
Hello, Is it possible to add Mastodon to keybase?
