Keybase user not found: sconstruct is not a Keybase user #372

Every time I save a new file to my /keybase/public/$user I get two notifications.

The first says: "KBFS: Signing and uploading files in /keybase/public/$user"

And the second, which I wouldn't expect says: "Keybase user not found: sconstruct is not a Keybase user".

Any ideas of where this might come from?

Another issue I've noticed is that I can't save files to my /keybase/{public,private}/ directories from within Emacs. Keybase says, again, that sconstruct is not a Keybase user, and that I have no write permissions.

This notification will be squashed in the next release. It is something in your environment trying to access KBFS in a weird way, and we're trying to warn you about it, but unfortunately it's not very helpful.
