Reddit Proof Fails to validate. #1597

Can't see anything wrong with my proof at: https://www.reddit.com/r/KeybaseProofs/comments/37g252/my_keybase_proof_redditsolarisfire/

I am trying to validate for the username solarisfire.

Using the browser, not the cli.

And it just fails every time it checks.

It looks like you are shadow banned. You can see this for yourself when you try to access your user page while not logged in.

Wow... How the hell did I get shadow banned?? Maybe a more helpful error message if a user doesn't exist?

I suffered this issue too a while back. I messaged the admins and they unbanned my account. I still am not sure why I was shadow banned.

Got my shadowban removed and this works fine, it was because of an IFTTT I set up posting every time I uploaded a video to my youtube. Maybe keybase could add a step, when asking for the reddit username, where it checks to make sure the profile exists, and advises the user if it doesn't.

This seems pretty KISS. I wonder if Reddit has an application API which could be employed so it happens on-the-fly?
