Hey! 5 days ago i sent money from my keybase wallet to my xlm wallet of coinbase, and I still haven't received anything... I have to wait or it’s a problem of the transaction? Can i do something? Thanks for the help!

@luisfer777 After the XLM is sent from you wallet, on Keybase or any other wallet, they have no way to help. The only place you can get help is from where the XLM was supposed to go. In this case you would have to contact Coinbase for help. The most common problem is that when sending the XLM the Memo field was not filled in correctly. If that is what happened in your case it is possible Coinbase can help you. I've heard of good results from them for that. They will need you to give them some information about the transaction which did not work, all of which you will be able to find in the Keybase wallet's list of transactions. I think they will also have you send another, very small, transfer to prove it is really you.

The Keybase wallet has two places where extra information can be entered when sending tokens. It is possible to get the two confused. One is the "a public memo", which is the important one. The other is "an encrypted note", which is private to Keybase and lets you add a note to yourself about the transaction (like why you are sending it "Pay Bob for his work", etc.) and means nothing, and isn't even readable, outside of Keybase. If the needed memo was entered in the encrypted note area instead, Coinbase won't be able to read it, and won't know who the XLM belongs to.

There are two things you can remember to do which will help prevent any future problems like this. First is when first dealing with a place you have not sent XLM, or any other coins, to send a small transaction first. The small transaction will not be a big loss if it doesn't work for some reason, and will let you know if you have everything correct when it does work. The second thing is that many places require both an address and a memo for sending XLM. If the memo field is not used they have no way of knowing who they XLM are for. You don't need a memo for receiving XLM in your Keybase wallet, and in most hardware wallets. You do, however, need a memo for most exchanges and online wallets.
