Delist my profile page from search engines #4179

I can't change my username nor can I remove my profile page from search engines.

Is everyone will be able to see that a certain username created a Keybase account, forever?

Are there no remedies to this?

I find this extemely absurd.

Please respond.

Note: If what I'm asking is not possible, you should at least let the users know of this fact. Cause this is absolutely not cool.

I wonder if my profile will be delisted from search engines if I delete my account.

Hey @gwn,

This username issue has been discussed here at #2842.

In short, you will not be able to change your username due to security concerns the Keybase team has if that feature is implemented.

In the issue, it is stated that Keybase made and is making efforts to help educate users on how to use Keybase effectively and just give a general heads up about this.
