fix file extension handling for s3 images #16

I tested this using patch-package from the build outputs and it fixes the issue.

I noticed there were tests, which should verify that jpeg works as an allowed extension, but I wasn't able to find how to run them. There seems to be no test runner in the project.

there is no runner here, I kind of have to start using them. if you or someone want to help setup, that would be really helpful for community
