Proxy URI error #68

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. setting up Xelow voip account in CSIPSimple
2. Proxy URI tried SIP:sip.goandcall.com:6060, SIP:goandcall.com:6060,
SIP:81.26.212.150:6060 etc. But I keep getting the RED Error text.
Android 1.6 on X10i
What should I do to resolve this?

Thanks for the help,

Ben

Hi,

Did you tried with the latest 0.00-12 pre build or with the version available
on the android market?
Besides, two things :
* sip.goandcall.com port 6060 is not open (at least, as far as I can see from
my pc)
* In your case, I think that Proxy URI field is useless : the only document I
found on the web about xelow say to configure a proxy but in fact it is simply
a part of the Registration uri used for the registration.
So you can probably leave blank the sip proxy field. You can probably also use
the Basic account wizard that is more easy to configure :
You'll have to fill your username, your password and "sip.goandcall.com" as
domain name.

Let me know if any of theses advise solve the problem for you.

Wow that is fast!
When I first tried the basic settings I got an error message aswell, probably
my fault because 3G and Wifi were both disabled.
Now I tried it again and it works perfect. just finished removing all other
SIP/Voip apps from my phone, CSIPsimple is the very best in sound quality on my
x10.

Thanks for the great support!

Ok :)

You should not remove other SIP application yet :) :
CSipSimple is still in alpha and you will probably encounter some issues with
it. So not really yet done for a daily use.
Besides, I have currently audio issues with X10 for outgoing calls that has to
be fixed.

But if you want to test it and report bugs or ideas you're welcome.

Thanks, on my X10 the other APPS have audio issue's aswell, echo mainly.
CSipSimple has this less and also integrates nice into the system.

I certainly will keep you updated and check this site. Great to see that you
are active in further development.

Now only the lastest Android version for the X10 and we are as happy as a pig
in sh*t....
