The directory names of the merge outputs look like this:/merge/GENUS SPECIES A space in PATH is a cause of trouble. Could you change to this? /merge/GENUS_SPECIES

I came across another bug related to this issue. fixed in https://github.com/kfuku52/amalgkit/commit/4bf832544da76af4c444f7f37660358aaa2362b6
