Incorporate return-values branch of https://github.com/kg-construct/rml-core/issues/16 because this is also applicable on the expression map. Consensus was reached, but never merged as the commits where on a separate branch.

@pmaria I'm just the 'messenger' here :P I am not sure how to decide or resolve your comments. These commits should have been already in a PR a long time ago. At least we have now a good review.
