Time stamp is the same for all Appends until Upload

This might be a feature? But is that what you want it to do? With each Append the time should get updated shouldn't it?

What if the Append is offline. No network connectivity. Save to local storage is important? What issues will come up then? Interesting questions. Offline first strategy is important.

Actually store the Appends separately and then assign time stamps at the time of uploads. That's the way to handle it.
