As we moved into Milestone 2, a re-evaluation of our Employee Management System requirements
revealed significant changes in the scope of our product compared to Milestone 1. A noteworthy
improvement was the decision to create and integrate a custom database designed expressly to
manage the large and varied data inherent in our system. This modification not only allows for more
effective data processing, but it also ensures that employee information, work schedules, and other
relevant information are efficiently saved, accessed, and maintained.
Furthermore, our platform's security has been significantly improved. Recognizing the need of
protecting employee login sessions, we implemented a two-factor authentication technique based on
One-Time Passwords (OTP). This enhancement is intended to considerably reduce the danger of
illegal access by guaranteeing that each login attempt is subjected to a rigorous verification process,
so boosting trust and confidence in our system's security apparatus.
