Error converting html document to markdown (pandoc starts eating all core)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Using pandoc 1.6 trying to convert this document.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Just nothing and high core loading.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
pandoc 1.6 at mac os x snow leopard

Please provide any additional information below.
I was tried fixing html errors, deleting some elements of file to determine 
where there is an error, but failed to understand.

I'm happy to say that the latest HEAD version of pandoc parses that file 
instantly. The HTML reader has been completely rewritten.

I expect to be releasing this version as 1.7 within a week or two.  Watch for 
it!
