Should we consider a low-code platform for the donor?

One of the biggest challenges with this approach is SignalR real-time updates....but do we really need real-time for donors? We can probably make Organizers have real-time only.

• Wix has a way to allow backend code that can be used to trap SignalR messages in Node and re-fire them internally using Wix message channels. I requested the MSFT SignalR Node package...hopefully they will approve it soon. Here is the API documentation: https://www.wix.com/velo/reference/wix-realtime-backend/publish.
• Wix does not have out-of-the-box solution for charts, graphs, gauges, etc. But it seems that we can embed javascript in sites with messaging capability to allow it to respond to messages from the application. This way we can use charts.js for example to craft any charting solution. While nice, it would need a developer to handle this functionality and it will make the charts styling not consistent with the rest of the site's component: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ie97CXso0g.
• Wix also has a charts app...but it seems to have a very low rating.
• Progress bars seem to be supported natively: https://support.wix.com/en/article/adding-and-setting-up-a-progress-bar.

Of course one of the big disadvantages of using low-code platforms in our case is that the backend code has to be deployed somewhere so it can be consumed by Wix or PowerPages. The way Blazor option is letting us build the whole solution as a whole with local testing.

Updates:

• I was able to install SignalR NPM on Wix...need to try it.
• PowerPages require a work email which they said we can get by greeting a free trial one
• I was able to deploy Blazor to ACA as part of the frontend functions app
