using non existing chars with noto color emoji gives fatal error #28

\fontspec{Noto Color Emoji}[Scale=2] abc

in the test-latex.tex gives

! error:  (file XXX/fonts/truetype/NotoColorE
moji.ttf) (type 2): there are no glyphs in the subset
!  ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!
