That is not possible at all (and makes no sense, there is luatex-fonts if one wants unmodified ConTeXt files). The main point of luaotfload is to be 1) independent of context 2) have LaTeX specifc fixes and extensions.

I concur with Khaled: we have no control over the state of ConTeXt in the major distributions. It was even removed from MiKTeX at some point, and it is not really clear that it won't happen ever again.

The best we can hope is to have helper scripts making merging easier, which would also be useful as a kind of documentation about the differences.

The unstable branch is now in sync with context.
