Open khanshoaib3 opened 9 months ago

khanshoaib3 commented 9 months ago

With v1.5.0-beta.5, the mod has been fully internationalized. This issue page will help keep track of progress on languages the mod has been translated to or is currently in the process.

In case you want to translate the mod in your language, you can follow this template repo for some instructions and you can also ask your queries here.

May I ask if I have already created a Chinese translation, should I submit a PR here? I spent an afternoon completing 60% of the translation work.

c469591 commented 7 months ago

Until just now, I have essentially completed all the Chinese translations. I would like to ask a question: does the current template not include 100% of all content? I've noticed that there are still some parts in English, such as buildings like chicken coops and so on, or weeds; as well as Monday through Sunday.

Hello, I am translating the mod into Spanish. I mention this so that the translation can be included in the list of translations in progress. The translation is advanced, although there are surely things to correct that we will fix as we discover them or as they are reported. I have the same question as @c469591, how do you translate text strings that remain in English, such as skin, eye and hair colors, among others? The translation can be found at: https://github.com/Marc2p/stardew-access-es Greetings

Hi @Marc2p You can open the issue and I'll add it to the list here :) Thanks in advance.

In the v1.6 beta of the mod, it does try to speak to the translated names but some of the locations don't have one yet. Like the farm buildings. So for those the mod speaks the english names for now. We'll add a way to translate those soon though. I'll notify you when that happens.

I made a translation for Indonesian, and it's finished. But when I tried it some of the names of the objects were reversed. For example, small bush in Indonesian is semak kecil, but after I tested the mod it said kecil semak. how to fix it?

khanshoaib3 commented 1 month ago

@fz0308 Thanks a lot for translating the mod  And I just checked the language repo and the translation seems to be fine for terrain_util-bush_type, I don't know why it's saying it as kecil semak. I'll be downloading the repo and test it out in my setup and get back to you soon.

@fz0308 Figured out the issue and it's more of a design flaw. Currently the bush and trees have a hardcoded format of displaying their name. So terrain_util-bush_type, terrain_util-bush, terrain_util-bush-town and terrain_util-bush-greenhouse are all used in a specific format which cannot be changed.

This is bad so I'll open up a issue for this. For now you don't have to do anything, I'll inform you when we make changes. So you can remove the prefix word Semak from terrain_util-bush_type.

Also, there's an issue with line 21 and 32 of your commands.id.ftl, there is no indentation in those lines and as such the parser thinks that "Buka" is an i18n entry.

@khanshoaib3 Thanks, I forgot to say that the name of the tree (Pohon) and the entrance (Jalur masuk) is also reversed
