Variables Disappear when Timeline expanded into prenatal period

Some pinned events "disappear" from the pinned bar when certain adjustments are made to the timeline using the scroll bar at the top. For example, I selected the age range "birth to two years", and then 2 language and 2 cognitive events (Recognizes voices of favorite people, Object permanence develops, tries to say words you say, and Finds hidden things easily). I then tried to expand the time bar. Changing to 28 weeks gestation to 16 months eliminated all pinned events from view. Expanding this timeline to include 28 weeks gestation to 28 months showed two development events (Recognizes voices, and object permanence), but not the others. I could not identify a given pattern for when events showed and did not while moving the timeline.

Updating to include this same issue occurs with non-pinned events as well. The issue arises when the timeline is expanded to include both a prenatal and postnatal period. When this is done, only events in the prenatal period appear in the visualization, and those from the postnatal period drop-out of the visualization. See two screen shots below. The first is showing birth -5 years, and the second has the timeline expanded to included 20weeks G - 5 years. The events seem to reappear once the timeline hits 32 weeks G (3rd image)

@hafen: It also looks like the app crashes/disappears when the period of time in the viewer gets to a small-ish period of time and crosses back and forth across the Birth/0 mark. Here's a screenshot we took when discussing.
