Oddly, I've never thought I had a problem with my plugs until I read this. Damn you Kian, now I have to buy even MOAR shiny! Pity there isn't a variant with a proper earth though.

I think there's BS regulation issues once they wire up the earth plug. I'll take this as "good enough" for now - I'm lucky my travel charger is designed for a two-pin.

There was also the slimplug which I saw years ago (They claim it
received BS approval in June 2006) - which has a metal earth pin but
they only do a C7/figure of eight ending. It's neater and easier looking than the thinplug (The pins fold flat into the body of the plug)

There's nothing tricky about the thinplug. You can operate it one handed with no problems. Whilst it does fold flag, there are some lumpy bits, but it's a heck of an improvement over stock plugs. And if I'm right, it may be a metal earth pin, but it's not earthed?

I do like this though, which was linked to from the site. I had no idea you could convert a fig-8 to clover:

Sadly the Lindy ThinPlug cable was discontinued due to RoHS regulations.
