I think there's a fairly fundamental difference between Remembrance Day and the RBL's Poppy Appeal: one is about the dead, and the other is about the living. As memories fade and the RBS has to "market" the appeal more, I wonder if the two will start to appear conflicting... I rambled vaguely about this last year: http://swaldman.dreamwidth....
