Since anonymous comments aren't working, I'll just point out here, in response to the post, that web scraping is very much legal.
And in the particular case of Reddit: should the RSS feeds disappear any time soon (and I'd be shocked if they didn't, given waves hands generally), I have it on good information that old.reddit.com
is effectively impossible for them to remove. I bet that's a pretty good scraping target since they'd be less likely to put effort into implementing any anti-scrape trickery there than on the main site. 😉
Glad to know fraidycat is maintained, and it's human is alive and hopefully well.
