stuck in modification mode

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ziphone 3.0 / windows xp sp2 / iphone version was 1.4 / itunes version 7.6.29

Please provide any additional information below.

I clicked on jailbreak for the iphone.  Froze in the middle of the process.
 I have no connection to itunes, it does not see it connected. 
on the screen it says:
singleuser boot -- fsck not done
Root device is mounted read only
if you want to make modification to files:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw
if you wish to boot the system:
exit

may 21 23:57:28 launchd(30) : cant' exec/bin/sh for single user; no such
file or directory

If i restart/reboot it loads then stops with the same infomation. I changed
the usb ports, hoping for a connection, nothing. 
I reinstalled itunes hoping that itunes would see the iphone, but nothing. 
I tried again to have ziphone jailbreak, but it does not see the iphone. 
I held down the home and power button for 10sec to reboot, then held the
home button for another ten sec after restarting. Still end up with the
same info as on top. Just stuck with this text as described. 
What do i do now?

Also says "IOIpodusbdevice::startipodstack can't start! Need configuration"

Hold down Home and Sleep button till the unlock screen shows. it might work.

i have the same problem and everytime i reset using the power and home buttons 
it
brings back to this screen, wat did u do to fix any ideas?

Im not too sure about the fsck part but I definitely hung at "installing base 
apps"
and with the big zoro looking at me. I just can't get it detected by ziphone nor
iTune. Please advice.

Did anyone figure out what to do with this problem??  I see alot of people w/ 
the 
same issues w/ the ipod but NO SOLUTIONS!!  I am having the same exact problem 
and 
cant get anything to work on this thing.  Any help - please!!
