JIRA Issue: KIEKER-813 Kieker Trac not sending mails to externals Original Reporter: Andre van Hoorn

Currently, Trac seems to send mails only to @informatik.uni-kiel-de addresses. E.g., Holger does not receive mails.

Just to keep track of this issue.

@arl:
Having an email address configured in a user's preferences doesn't seem to be the reason for the problem. For my account, avh@... was configured and worked well. Before submitting this ticket, I added my Stuttgart address to the preferences. We will see in a minute ...

Ah, probably received it, because I'm on the list kieker-ticketslists.sourceforge.net

Nope, I also tested it with my external address and I received the mail without further problems :S
Seems to be hard to reproduce for other addresses, I will take a look at the sets in trac's database, where might be some flags preventing the mail delivery for specific accounts.

Yes, same (i.e., NO problem) for my setting:
1. Stuttgart address in user preferences
2. Kiel address in kieker-ticketslists.sourceforge.net

Received at both mail boxes --- as desired.

Holger Knoche: Did you receive a mail for this?

That's weird,... I just checked the session_attribute table in trac's database. There are no mail-addresses associated with Holger's username. To be precise, there are only two data sets for holger's account (in comparison: 24 for André's account!), no mail attributes, time zone, name and stuff.

Holger Knoche: When you are logged in and visit http://kieker.uni-kiel.de/trac/prefs , are there any vaild values in the shown fields? (I think I will send such questions as a mail, whilst he notification doesn't work properly ;P)

Holger receives email again after he entered his mail address in his user's prefs. The question remains, why his settings got lost ...

Reopen if problems appears again (also for others).
