Open Source #219

Open JeremyWildsmith opened 5 years ago

Is it possible for this project to be open-sourced at this point?

Preferably under something like MIT License?

Thanks

Maybe, it would be cool to share some of the ideas in it. I was hesitant back in the day due to the extent of bullying from OS advocates literally berating me for not open-sourcing it. Do you have anything in mind to do with the code out of interest?

I understand if you don't want to open source the project.

I'm working on a remake of Space Station 13 right now, and I'm implementing a atmospherics control system that runs on a kernel that is simulated via a DCPU emulator; the kernel was written with this IDE and a lot of the features utilized in it aren't really available outside in other open source IDEs (like macros for example.)

I am trying to focus on the actual game mechanics and I'm too busy to also fit building a decent IDE that players could use (and that I could use) with the game. There are also some features I'd like to add (and some bugs with macros I'd like to fix)

Thanks for the response!

Hello!

Any update on this issue?

If you don't have the source code, it would be cool if you could relicense under MIT?

If you aren't comfortable open sourcing it that is fine. I just need to get an idea what my next steps should be.

Thanks :)
