1.3.0 seems to have broken something #23

Bug description

with v1.3.0, on game initialization, minecraft will either get frozen upon loading the menu or seemingly break all fonts / resource packs, looking like this on a fresh instance:

Steps to reproduce

  1. create a base 1.20.1 instance with fabric api
  2. run the game with only elytra trims
  3. game will load with menu looking like as shown above, or if other mods are present get frozen on loading the menu
