Ah! Yes, that’s because the data file has zeroes for some countries. I’ll change the zeroes to 0.1 and rebuild the map.
A related issue is “44,050,605.6 people”; we should just round them to the nearest whole person for display!

Fixed in 94d15e2af512a4f4b35027b6c54ddb3fc64b90d3.
Mike Berners-Lee points out that Bolivia isn't shrinking to zero on the sea level map even though the number displayed when you click it is zero. I think I noticed something similar once but didn't make a note of which country.
