is gpu passthrough possible? #1185

Hi,

Maybe this request will be odd in a way because this html interface is for remote. But I really need to passthrough a graphic card or more to one vm. I succeeded to obtain the result @ lspci -k moment of this video on my ubuntu system but I don't get in the pci list of available pci devices my nvidia gpu which is a 970 gtx. Only the module device is available. What should I do then ? Add manually the video device in the xml?

In the web UI, go to Edit Guest => PCI tab => Select the PCI device you want to attach to the guest and do it :-)

that's what I'm telling you! Besides the nvidia audio controller, I don't have the nvidia graphic gpu mentionned in the list.... Are you sure you are reading my messages or do you only send it to trash? Is there anyone successfully transfered a gpu to a vm with kimchi?

Read again what you wrote to check if anywhere you have said you tried through the web interface it is not showing the devices there. :-)

I do GPU passthrough attachment via Kimchi in the way I explained above.

okey, let's examine then the differences. What's your configuration ? i mean hardware...

So let's see with which equipment did you try it and which os to see if I should maybe totally change something about my configuration
