It's working just fine.
Try the new zip. Fixed an issue with UFS and dwc3, so it's possible you had issues.

I've tried v2, but keep bootloop. have you tried oos 10.3.8 on op6?
I didn't know the cause, and I went back to the blu_spark kernel
I always run the latest. At all time, flashed both in TWRP and FKM, without any problem
Now on linux-stable v4.9.256 with WiFi and HID out of the box ð

I'm just here to report that oneplus_kernel.zip bootloop on oos 10.3.8 stuck on bootloader screen
I've tried v2, but keep bootloop. foreseeable I can confirm the immediate bootloop issues after flashing said kernel.
I generally build directly from your repo @kimocoder; shortly after you pushed new commits etc.But also building the more stable ones.
The last two months were constantly problems with the kernel(DJY,android-stable, some of the 'new' kernel).
Momentarily is it immens difficult to even get the phone into in a working twrp. The OTG function isn't working at all, the same goes for Mtp .
In the last weeks I had to flash twrp back onto the One Plus 6.
I hope we (or better kimo) can solve those problems in the foreseeable time.
Many heaps
Strange, I test them on a regular basis and don't have any problems at all.
Hard to find problems when I don't see them either in debug or in front of me
I'll make a new one, to make official than puts this in experimental ð
I tried to experiment, by flashing oneplus_kernelv2 > magisk > then installing the chroot manually. successful, but got the following information "sdcard /lib/modules/4.9.256-Nethunter doesnt exist"
is this kernel running successfully? and how to fix that?
@ammlr @j-v-bernstein
Uploaded a new one. Remade the whole kernel. Report back if it works better.. or not, but this one should be good.
This time it booted up without issues, but unfortunately I got this after reboot.I cloned the kali nethunter repository and build a new installer.Probably I give this another shoot.
Successfully build your kernel from repo, voodoo with the Image.dtb and modules folder with the @johanlike anykernel zip. That's fine everythings working. Same pop up as @j-v-bernstein. I'll report if somethings wen't wrong ;) Device : op6t (fajita)
Issues :
Working :
With the new kernel -> https://github.com/kimocoder/android_kernel_oneplus_oneplus6/blob/development/kali-nethunter-kernel/oneplus_kernel.zip Finally again..
Merely the compiling with the 'development' branches gave me some minor errors regarding the arm32 toolchain.
Your work is highly appreciated, kimocoder :)
Thanks a bunch!
Hey @kimocoder,
I wanted to give you a update in regard of the current stability of your excellent work on this kernel.
System: OOS 10.3.8 Magisk: 22.0
I build from two branches
The device booted into the system.Unfortunately the same error as here shows up.RIght after start up. https://github.com/kimocoder/android_kernel_oneplus_oneplus6/issues/4#issuecomment-777981197

The second one
After I flashed the kernel, the system hung at the unlocked bootloader warning. Usable log files weren't possible to obtain..
Best regards
You will have to wait until i release the new one.
Just forget them all, have a new one at kernel v4.9.261. will upload tomorrow sometime
Update will have to wait a little, OnePlus pushed 10.3.9 and it has stability fixes and security fixes. We want those changes into our kernel too, cause it fixes some crazy stuff happening
Impatient to build this kernel, on my side i have created a script to build this kernel and some other (Like the DJY's one) here.
I used the current image on 10.3.9, but the HID drivers wont be there.
In general I do not like the dependency on OxygenOS. I would really prefer to put LineageOS on my OP6T and then Nethunter on top, but I have no clue what I would have to get that to work.
Maybe someone could help out?

You'll find a rom and kernel with exactly those requirements in the OnePlus 6/6T sub-forum on XDA.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/official-kekhunter-420-a-pentesters-rom-for-oneplus-6-6t.4211659/
Personally I am not that much of a fan of these Kali Nethunter rip-offs.
If you could arrange with this go nuts!
Great, thanks for the pointer! I will try that
Just in case someone find this while looking for a solution for Lineage + Nethunter: the custom rom / kernel linked by @j-v-bernstein does not work with the OnePlus 6T, at least not the currently available zip files (lineage-kek-17.1-20210322-OFFICIAL-fajita.zip): not even Lineage will boot. That is even before installing Magisk and the Nethunter kernel!
working for fajita, LineageOS 18.1, Magisk 22104, kernel from here
working GREAT.
In the screenshot it says "HID interface not found" which clearly indicates that is NOT working properly. Sure, I can install Nethunter, but without the working drivers and interfaces it is nearly useless.

Yeah because you have to change the USB mode to HID, by default is set to MTP
Proof:
That is good news, how do I do this?
@maichai USB Arsenal on nethunter app
I also have OnePlus 6 but I can't use external wifi and can't do hid attacks i am done with
Anyone who has done with OnePlus 6 can help me â
Anyone who has done with OnePlus 6 can help me question
This repository and therefore the kernel are fairly obsolete and outdated by now.
Have you tried the most recent one for Android twelve , both OOS and AOSP?
OnePlus 6/T Kali Nethunter kernel (12)
https://kali.download/nethunter-images/kali-2023.2/nethunter-2023.2-oneplus6-twelve-kalifs-full.zip
Good luck!

hi, kim. I really appreciate your work, and I'm just here to report that oneplus_kernel.zip bootloop on oos 10.3.8
