Has anyone gotten this to build successfully on Android SDK version 1.0 on
Eclipse?
I'm seeing these kinds of build errors, below, as others have noted.
Wondered if there's an (easy) fix?

Object3d is indeed missing from v1.0 SDK, how does that Qualcomm 3d demo app in
the
market run than?

A buildable GLobalTime can be found in
git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/development.git ...this doesn't help with
the
SDK 1.0 issues, but it does give you a nice OpenGL demo to work with if that is
your
actual goal.

GlobalTime still makes reference to android.opengl.Object3D -- any update on
this....

I can get this to compile but several things don't seem to be right. Keys not
working, city lights, and the sun looks a bit low in the sky (may be right, I
need to
check the calculations). Basically; drop Object3d and use LatLongSphere for the
geometry, write a loader for the texture (the only real work) and change the
formatter for the date.
Are there any official Google Groups, mailing lists, .... to discuss the
development
of this app?

Attached is the GlobalTime screen capture that I modified. I have added 3 clocks
instead of the overlapping clock overlay on top of the Globe. Work still need
to be
done on some clean-up.

YT,
Your screenshot looks great. A few comments / feedback:
Would it be possible to tweak the design a bit so that digital times can be
displayed, similar to what is shown on this Palm-based UI:
http://screenshots.en.softonic.com/en/scrn/10000/10845/4_c1.jpg Perhaps as an
user
preference/option?
Also, the city names are difficult to read as they're overlapping the clock
faces.
(I'm sure you're already aware of that)
The UTC times are interesting but probably not important enough to display on
the
main display & use up valuable real estate. You might make those appear
"onClick" as
tool tips.
Anyway, like I said, looks great.

Comment #9 mentions a modified app, but does not mention whether that app works
under SDK 1.0 or 1.5.

I was able to "fix" the issue and build in Eclipse 3.6.0 by adding classes for
Object3D.java, Group.java, Material.java and Texture.java to the
com.android.globaltime package. I retrieved the source for those objects from
git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/frameworks/base.git.

is it a project Android mentioned in CDD? If itself is not correct, how can it
be a benchmark ??

@16:
git clone git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/frameworks/base.git
You need Group.java, Material.java, Object3D.java and Texture.java from the
android.opengl package in base/opengl/java/android/opengl.
