Open rpulikool opened 3 years ago
The current version was released a year ago, and there have been many improvements in the past year. So after the WindTerm v2.0.0, WindEdit will also release a new version soon, I believe it can be used daily at that time.
Tab in the left pane showing the files that are open Good suggesion, this feature will be developed in the future. You can use "List Tab" button in the tabbar to show the opened files now.
Create cache file for unsaved file so when you are working with it, it update the cache file and save it when we need it. The same for any opened file. This will also be developed. The reason why I haven't done it is because WindEdit mainly focus on large files, so I am a little worried about whether temporary large files need to be saved. After all, it will take up a lot of space even after stream compressed.
Multi-column update option This feature already exists, and it's more powerful than other editors. You can press alt and drag the mouse or press alt with up, down, left, right, home, end, pagedown, pageup to select columns. WindEdit supports editing millions of lines with columns at the same time.
More theme for both WindTerm and DigEdit WindEdit will also has dige-black, dige-white, dige-black-and-white themes as WindTerm. But I think more themes need to be created by the community, and I will write a document explaining how to customize themes.
MacOS version for both WindTerm and DigEdit I need to evaluate CLang, apple app store, and M1. It should be released no earlier than April.
for the cache file, there will very few use cases where people will have text or scripts which are more 100s of MB and even if they will most of the laptop desktop have GBs of space. I have seen this feature on only one app and its nice to have feature
I am eagerly waiting for new release for both of the product and in mac which i love to use
WindTerm v2.0.0 has been finally released. And I will start preparing for WindEdit v1.0.0 version. If there are no other problems, I will implement this feature. Please keep follow and thanks.
Kuddos way to go!!
