It will be amazing if 1 Remote SSH file edit like vscode's Remote SSH plugin do ----abandon now . 2 function/method/var list as vscode's outline or geany's tag list.

kingToolbox commented 3 years ago

WindTerm already supports outline, but currently only few language schemes are provided. More languages will be supported in the new v1.0.0 version, and it is expected to be released next month. Thank you.

I am a little curious, at present, you can also manage or edit the remote file in WindTerm by double-clicking the file in filer pane, so besides remote debugging, what other VScode Remote features do you want WindTerm to have?

hongnod commented 3 years ago

edit is enough, I just don't know it is there already. thanks.

hongnod commented 3 years ago

I tried the edit what you mean, it is not that smooth, and it opened in another window,I prefer it in the same main window but another tab page.

Hi, Everyday come here to check if there is WndEdit v1.0.0 ,it looks ver0.9 doesn't support Golang syntax, will ver1.0 do? and 1 more :try to add WndEdit to context menu as NP3 do without success. 2 more : When editing some privilege files such as 'host' , pls give a chance to promote right in place.

I'm very very sorry to keep you waiting. Because the sz/rz cannot support XModem and YModem well in the Windows system, I have been focusing on the development of XModem and YModem in the past few weeks, which also caused the new version of WindEdit in the original plan to be greatly delayed. But I will try to catch up with the original plan.

WindEdit currently does not support obtaining the parameters of the files to be opened from the command line, so it cannot support the system's right-click menu now. As for the issue of UAC Prompt, it is a little more complicated, but fortunately WindTerm has introduced gsudo, so I will see if the problem can be solved through gsudo. Both issues will be resolved in subsequent versions.

I want to talk about the development of WindEdit by the way. Although WindEdit v0.9.0 has most of the editing features, but there are still many small bugs and small features are missing. Since the last version was released, more than a year of new features and bugfixes have been accumulated, and I have always hoped that I can complete the main features like new search result pane and so on of the planned v1.0.0 version before releasing it. But WindTerm does take up a lot of my development time, and the focus of development will still be WindTerm for a period of time, so I think maybe it would be a good idea to make a prerelease of WindEdit based on the many features that have been completed. I expect to complete the prerelease within this month.

The Golang language will be supported in the v1.0.0, and I will implement the configuration files in these two days and provide it to you first.
