I'll just copy the discord message here so I don't have to look it up ever time

Is there a way for a mod to force biters to spawn (or spawners) even if they were disabled on world generation? Can you force biters to always run away from the player instead of attacking? Can you make biters drop certain items ONLY when killed by a specific type of turret? can you make turrets (and everything else) not shoot spawners? Can you spawn biters randomly around the mal without the need for spawners? (even if they were killed?) So as long as the area isn't loaded by a radar and there is no biter in a chunk-radius around the given chunk there will randomly spawn a number of biters?

I will just assume that the assets of biters can be changed to chicken or pigs for example and that it's possible to add multiple types of biters

I was thinking there spawn different animals (biters with different assets) and you have to kill them with a specific type of gun or something to get some kind of DNA that can then be used in either a farm or some artificial spawner where you can then kill them using some other turret that makes them drop 1) meat and other stuff

that way there would be some difference to the already existing mods that use resources and the "where are the biters" question would also be more or less gone (maybe)

or you have to destroy the animal spawner to get the dna

just wanted to bring the idea up and see what you think of it as you have more mod experience than me😁
