I can also confirm that HD laggs extremely bad. The video hiccups every 5
seconds constantly throughout the movie. I have 20Mbps of download so that isnt
the problem. I hope this can be resolved soon as I would love to watch my
movies in HD.

I have the same issue. I have messed with the advacnedsettings.xml etc and now
I even have issues with the regular DVDrips. Another issue I am having is that
it is hit am miss whether the movie, tv show, etc will even load. I try it
once and it loads and plays I exit and come back to it and it wont play. I dont
know if anyone else is having that issue

After doing a quick search, I came across this on the XBMC forums. Not sure how
true this is but if it is, then this explains it:

"XBMC on ATV2 can't handle most HD Icefilms because they are in divx. ATV2 can
only hardware decode h.264 (up to High Profile). There's plenty of h.264 HD
content out there, but Icefilms doesn't index those files."

Here is the link to where I found this info:

The thing is that most of this is hardware related. The ATV2 has problems
streaming 720p movies. Either way, you might want to try to buffer the video
for a while, as in "set it on pause".

Have tried to buffer the video, dont help..
#3 thanks, thats also the info i found. Guess its all up to Icefilms to index
those movies, if they want "real success"

Appreciate the clarification.

Happy New year

The thing that annoys me, if true, is that I read online that some users are
able to watch HD movies on their AppleTV 2 without issues, while most of us are
having issues with that. Either they fall short from the truth, or they are
simply getting lucky.

Either way, I guess we'll just have to wait until the ATV3 comes out. Hopefully
we dont have issues with that.

Cheers
