To reduce the size of the repo (was pushing 250MB when I last cloned it) I ran the BFG Repo Cleaner. It is now sitting around 40MB.
Part of the process is to refresh all clones of the repository by re-cloning the code. This applies to anyone who has cloned the repository before today, so please do so or else any commits/PRs from your old clones will risk rewriting the new git history.
Thanks, and please feel free to reply to this issue if you have questions or concerns.
**Edit
In case the instructions were too vague:
1) Make a just-in-case backup of your old local clone (I just renamed mine to pySnowRadar-bkp)
2) Re-clone the repo to pull the cleaned history
3) Add back in any modifications/scripts/data that you had from your old clone
