Mozilla console displays the following warning in the developer console. The predicted flash does occur, especially when the browser cache is cold. AFAIK, this cosmetic effect is the only impact.

"Layout was forced before the page was fully loaded. If stylesheets are not yet loaded this may cause a flash of unstyled content." node.js:356

Line number from node.js must be from Jekyll engine.
